For estates under £325,000 net and £900,000 gross where a will has been left, no inheritance tax is payable, all appointed executors are making the application and there is no overseas property we can usually carry out the work for a fixed fee of £595 plus VAT (£714) plus court fees. The court fee is currently £273 plus £1.50 for each additional copy of the grant of probate. Where there is no will, we usually charge an additional £100 plus VAT (£120), our fees will be £695 plus VAT (£834) plus court fees as above.

 

This is subject to you providing the information to complete the application, there being no applications to oppose the grant or disputes or enquiries regarding the valuation of assets.

Most applications for grants of probate or letters of administration where inheritance tax is payable can be dealt with for under £2,500 plus VAT (£3,000) plus the court fee which is currently £273 plus £1.50 for each additional copy of the grant of probate.

Our hourly charge out rate is £180 per hour.  Routine telephone calls and outgoing letters and emails are charged at £15 each, incoming emails and letters are charged at £8 each. VAT is also payable where applicable. We do not charge for emails forwarded to you without comments attached.
